| Hall guides Mercer to CIT Final victory Mar 29th 2012, 03:30 Logan, UT – Langston Hall was named the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament's most valuable player, posting 16 points and grabbing six rebounds to lead Mercer to a 70-67 victory over Utah State in Wednesday's title game. Travis Smith poured in a game-high 17 points and Bud Thomas chipped in 10 for the Bears (27-11), who won three straight games on the road to finish out the 2012 CIT tourney. Kyisean Reed led the way for Utah State (21-16) with 15 points and seven rebounds, Preston Medlin netted 14 points and Danny Berger added 13 points. The Aggies were vying for their first postseason tournament title in school history, despite making their 13th straight postseason appearances. | |
