IOC meet Cameron in final visit before Olympics
Mar 28th 2012, 08:56

LONDON –  Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron says his country has tough work ahead to make sure ordinary people benefit from the legacy of the London Olympics.

Cameron was meeting Wednesday with International Olympic Committee President Jacques Rogge and officials, amid the final inspection visit before the games by the IOC coordination commission.

The Olympics open in London on July 27.

Talks will include discussions on security, a review of plans for a lavish opening ceremony and consideration of legacy projects.

Cameron said he was "acutely aware that the drive to embed and secure the benefits of London 2012 is still to come."

He says plans to use the Olympics to boost public health and participation in sport is Britain's "biggest challenge."
