Fairfield, CT – Sacred Heart will play only four home games in its 2012 football schedule announced on Wednesday.
The Pioneers are coming off a 5-6 season in which it had a 2-4 record at home.
This season, Sacred Heart will host four Northeast Conference rivals, Central Connecticut State (Sept. 29), Wagner (Oct. 6), Albany (Oct. 27) and Robert Morris (Nov. 10).
The Pioneers will open the season on the road with first-ever games against Morgan State (Sept. 1) and Colgate (Sept. 15). They also will visit Dartmouth (Oct. 13) in non-conference action.
In addition, Sacred Heart will play NEC games at Monmouth (Sept. 22), Duquense (Oct. 20), Bryant (Nov. 3) and Saint Francis, Pa. (Nov. 17).
