Gallinari suffers broken thumb Mar 20th 2012, 12:27 Denver, CO –  Denver Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari suffered a broken left thumb during Monday's game against Dallas. Gallinari said after the game that doctors told him the injury would take four weeks to heal, but he hopes to return sooner and play with a splint. The fracture is in his non-shooting hand. "Unbelievable, but got to keep going, keep thinking positive and make this push for the playoffs," Gallinari tweeted after the contest. Gallinari is Denver's leading scorer this season, averaging 15.2 points in 33 games. He missed most of February with a sprained ankle and returned on March 5.
