| Jazz F Howard to have season-ending surgery Mar 20th 2012, 22:36 Salt Lake City, UT – Utah Jazz forward Josh Howard will have surgery on his injured left knee and is expected to miss the remainder of the season, the team said Tuesday. An MRI performed Monday because of recent swelling in Howard's knee showed a chip in the lateral femoral cartilage that will require surgery to prevent any further damage. Howard, 31, signed with Utah as a free agent in December and has averaged 8.7 points and 3.7 rebounds in 41 games. He played just 18 games last season for the Washington Wizards after tearing the ACL in his left knee the previous season. News of Howard's probable season-ending injury came as the Jazz battle for one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference. | |
