Alameda, CA – The Oakland Raiders have signed guard Cooper Carlisle and cornerback Shawntae Spencer.
Spencer comes to Oakland after spending the last eight seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He recorded 345 tackles, 2 1/2 sacks and 11 interceptions in 98 games (72 starts).
Carlisle has played the last five seasons with the Raiders, starting 79 of 80 games. Last season, Carlisle started every game and was part of an offensive line that set a franchise record by allowing only 25 sacks, the third-lowest total in the NFL.
The 34-year-old was originally selected by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons in Denver.
"We are pleased to welcome Shawntae Spencer to the Raiders," Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie said. "In addition, we're pleased to have Cooper, who has been a valued member of the offensive line, back with us."
