New York, NY – The worst season in NBA history couldn't even land the Charlotte Bobcats the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft.
That honor went to the New Orleans Hornets, who won the NBA Draft Lottery on Wednesday night despite having the fourth-best chance to do so.
The Bobcats will pick second and the Washington Wizards third.
Picks No. 4-14 went to the Cavaliers, Kings, Nets, Warriors, Raptors, Pistons, Hornets, Trail Blazers, Bucks, Suns and Rockets in that order.
Kentucky freshman Anthony Davis, the Naismith Trophy winner as the national player of the year, is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick.
All five Kentucky starters from the national championship team declared for the draft, including fellow freshman Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, also seen as a probable top-five pick.
They are part of a deep talent pool that includes Kansas' Thomas Robinson, North Carolina's Harrison Barnes, Florida's Bradley Beal and Connecticut's Andre Drummond.
The draft is June 28.
