Rockies place SS Tulowitzki on DL May 31st 2012, 23:20 Denver, CO –  The Colorado Rockies placed shortstop Troy Tulowitzki on the disabled list Thursday because of a strained left groin muscle. Tulowitzki came out of Wednesday night's 13-5 win over Houston after grounding out in the sixth inning. He is hitting .287 this year with eight home runs and 27 RBI. The Rockies activated infielder Chris Nelson, who went on the 15-day disabled list two weeks ago with left wrist inflammation. Nelson has 73 at-bats with Colorado this season and was hitting .219 with seven RBI.
