Angels' Weaver leaves game with injury May 29th 2012, 01:36 Anaheim, CA –  Angels pitcher Jered Weaver was forced to leave Monday's game against the New York Yankees in the first inning with a lower back injury. Facing the fourth batter of the frame, Weaver suffered the injury on a called strike on his second pitch of Robinson Cano's at-bat. He attempted a warm-up pitch after getting looked at by a trainer, but he left the game after appearing to be in discomfort on his follow through. Weaver allowed a run and did not record an out on the four batters he faced.
