Ty Wigginton hit a two-run single and Hunter Pence also knocked in a run for the Phillies, who have won five of their last seven games. Philadelphia has won eight in a row over its NL East rival. Brian McCann belted a solo home run for Atlanta, which has dropped three of four.

Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Jed Lowrie and Chris Snyder both homered in support of J.A. Happ and the Astros downed the Mets, 6-3, on Tuesday. Lowrie hit a two-run blast in the first inning and Snyder followed with a three- run shot in the second. J.D. Martinez added an RBI for Houston, which has won the first two of this three-game series. Happ (2-1) allowed three runs on six hits while striking out seven over 6 1/3 frames. Brett Myers tossed a 1-2-3 ninth for his sixth save of the season. Scott Hairston, Andres Torres and Josh Thole had an RBI apiece for New York while Jon Niese (2-1) lasted just three innings and was charged with five runs in the loss.

Chicago at Cincinnati, postponed
Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - Tuesday night's game between the Chicago Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds was postponed due to rain. A makeup date has not yet been announced. Bronson Arroyo was scheduled to make the start for Cincinnati in the opener of this three-game set, while right-hander Jeff Samardzija was to get the start for the Cubs. Both pitchers will start when the series begins on Wednesday at Great American Ball Park.
