Miami, FL – Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh was in uniform for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals against Boston on Tuesday.
Bosh has been sidelined since Game 1 of the East semifinals against Indiana because of a strained lower abdominal muscle.
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said Monday that Bosh was making "significant progress" and after Tuesday's shootaround indicated that a decision would come before the start of Game 5.
The decision appears to have been made, as Bosh was in the warmup line just minutes before Tuesday's tip-off. He will not be in the starting lineup, but will see playing time.
In six playoff games, Bosh has averaged 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds. He averaged 18.0 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 57 regular-season games.
The Heat and Celtics enter Game 5 of the best-of-seven series tied at two wins apiece. Each has won twice at home.
Prior to the game, Bosh released a statement regarding the passing of a massage therapist that he and his wife, Adrienne, used for a period of time. The masseuse, whose name was not released, fainted after arriving at Bosh's home on Monday night and lost consciousness.
She passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital shortly thereafter.
"Our hearts go out to her family. We are very sorry for their loss," the Bosh's said in their statement.
